The innovative new Wii console might be wowing gamers these holidays but Nintendo isn't about to let its DS handheld wilt in the shade. Yoshi's Island DS (a sequel to the Super Nintendo hit) is a superb example of how Nintendo has mastered the side-scrolling platformer, combining cleverly designed puzzles with fun, twitch-based action.
