snap! got exactly same problem, bought 2 ds lites for the kids xmas, one works fine-always loads, the other one sometimes loads, but mostly goes to the start up menu with the clock and wont load, tried an air duster to make sure theres no dirt etc. both the sd cards are the same, and i even used the same folder for both sd cards straight from the pc. the dodgy ds lite's sd card works fine in the good console, so it's not the cards! after 3 hours of searching for an answer-all i have found is you have the same frustrating problem!
