I am looking to buy either a 3DS XL or a DSi XL and installing an R4i Gold card into it. I just had some questions as I cannot find the answers anywhere and I was hoping I could get some help here.

hi ppl,i bought a r4 sdhc revolution about 3 years ago
and have never used it until last night,i wasnt sure how
to use this card so eventually i loaded software version
1.34 onto it,problem is out of around 50 games i loaded onto the sd
card only 4 work,most say something about saving a sav file
then screen goes either white or black
so can anyone tell me what im doing wrong and if ive got the right
and latest software on it,thanks in advance

I have an r4 sdhc revolution for ds card, and a 2gb microsd card too, i have had them for awhile but i deceided to delete everything off my sd card and use it for my phone to keep photos on it, well i wanted to use my r4 again on my ds so deleted everything again on my sd card and tried to download the firmware off the r4rts.cn site, but the site says the site is unavailable now so i typed the firmware i needed on google and it found some, so i downloaded and extracted it to my sd card, now everytime i turn my DSL on it keeps coming up download loader xxx, ive formatted the card, ive downloade

hi i have r4i 1.4v upgrade revolution for ds card and a 4gb memory card which was working fine then started to freeze so i decided to change some of my games as there was some i was not using and now it comes up with the memory card with a sad face and menu? underneath it what is the problem with it that i cant get it to work in my ds but i can get the memory card to work in the computer. please help as im missing some of the games i have been playing

I have this r4i dsixl 3d v1.45 with existing games that work fine, but gives me errcode 4 for any new games i try to open. the website r4idsxl.com no longer works

i've been trying to get the new pokemon games to work on my ds lite. the wood thingy doesnt seem to work. and then i tried other new games but they dont work either. please help. what do i do?

i don't know what version im using, btw. im hopeless with electronics. :/

Wood R4i Gold 3DS looks the same as Wood R4i Gold,only encrypiton part has been changed. Wood R4i Gold reports error on 3DS console.

New DS ROMs not loading on original R4 DS running 1.18

The latest kernal V1.33b for r4i-sdhc v1.4.1 from here can update on Feb25th, specifically to support the game are as follows and solve the previous problems that V 1.32b can not play the games,and I bought my v1.4.1 works well that from here, now I share it with players who interest it.

All right i had my r4 revolution working (or rather my brother did) and i accidentally downloaded a new software. Now the game file won't load. It says "An error has occurred. Press and hold the Power Button to turn the system off. Please see the Nintendo DSi Operations manual for help trouble shooting."
Has anyone seen this before? I tried reformatting my sd card and then put everything back on it. It didn't help. does anyone know how to fix this?

Hi,I updated my sotware on my DSI and now when I try to access my R4 card it throws up an Error has occurred,press and hold down the power button to turn the system off.Please refer to the DSI opp manual for details. Anyone seen this before?

UPDATE 2: A few flashcards are working with the Nintendo 3DS: Acekard, Supercard DStwo and R4i Gold using WOOD firmware.

Hello,

I just purchased the R4(GE) SDHC flash card, and I am unable to get it working. I have tried downloading all the required files (the English kernel file) and following all the directions on the site, but once I start it up on my DS lite, all I get is a white screen with a red card icon and the word "MENU?" in it. While some help sites state that the R4 dat and R4I menu files are needed I cannot find them anywhere. All links online for those two files point to kernel downloads, none of which have those two files.

hi can anybody help me please i got my little boy a dsi for xmas got an R4I GOLD card got my friend to set it up for me as am not very computer friendly lol workd fine for the test then wraped it up for my sons prezzie then when he playd on it for 5mins he put in original dsi game then when he put the r4i card back in keeps saying ERROR grr anybody help please masive thanx in hope

A few (7-9)of my resent new games that I downloaded (even from different web sites) couldnt open them. When trying to boot them up they will free with screen empty and clear, other will go black and said no info found, turn off and re-insert card, other will open into the main menu,but no more further than that. Ihave this same R4 revolution for ds since more than a year ago, I wonder if someone had this same problems and if there's a fix or resent program that I need to download. I will thanks all suggestions.

I have dowloaded the software onto my new R4 Revolution card. (WinRar).
I have loads of games that i got from a mate that he dowloaded i have put a couple onto the card, but when i put the R4 card into my DSi i cant see it on the menu screen.

Could anyone help as its driving me mad!!!

Hi, I just bought 2 R4 ds cards for my children got the software downloaded and games downloaded onto them. My son has a black ds lite and both cards work on his and is able to play all the games. But my daughter has a pink ds lite and the cards will not work on hers, it says no game card in slot.

Any ideas?????????

I downloaded the 1.18 English (system, moonshl, _DS_MENU.DAT and _DS_MSHL.NDS) but the DS screen shows 'couldn't find _DS_MENU.DAT'. I just received the R4 pack (without CD) a few days ago. Help please!!

My sisters R4 ds cart is not saving any games what so ever. There .savv files but when trying to play the games again not previous data is there.

Is this a common problem, has it been set up wrong???

Hi, does any one know or heard of an R4 card breaking a DS lite ?, I put a new R4 card in my DS with games that I had downloaded before and used on another R4 card , It worked for a while then the Ds turned it self off and I can't get it to charge or turn on, any idea's ?

i have a r4 III i have installed the files from v3.08 kernel as per directions onto my 8gb sd micro card along with about 100 games it boots up fine and plays games ok but only shows 24 games...does anyone know y it does not show all the ganes?? I have formatted the card and tried different versions of the 3.08 kernel from 2 different sites

got one of these r4 formatted the sd card like everyone said copied the new kernal and did everything else and still i carnt get passed the 'loading' phase can anyone help.

So the new Nintendo DSi should be released sometime in the US this year, but there hasn't been any word of the R4 or clone company working on an updated R4 for the DSi. Will they call it the R4i? R4DSi? So far the only flash card available for the DSi is the Acekard 2i.

Could this be the real deal R4 v3? Amazon UK and a few other online retailers are selling the R4DS v3. They're claiming it supports up to 8gb MicroSDHC, better compatibility with the v1.20 kernel and 23% better battery life then the v2 R4. If anyone has one, please confirm that it is a real version 3.

If you have a Chinese R4DS and want to put the English firmware on it, then you'll need to patch the _DS_MENU.DAT file before it'll work. Follow the instructions below to patch your _DS_MENU.DAT file.

1. Download the latest English firmware from www.r4ds.com
2. Download the latest language patcher
